The Volunteer Services Department is in need of caring, compassionate and committed volunteers to fulfill the following service positions:
Patient Navigators – Day Surgery – Victoria Hospital
Patient Navigators improve the experience for surgical patients by ensuring they are in the right place at the right time. Shifts: 6:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.; 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Monday – Friday once per week / on call
Patient Information (Greeter) – Victoria Hospital
Duties include directing patients and visitors to the various departments for treatments, tests, x-rays, or to other destinations in the hospital. Shifts: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. or 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. or On Call Monday - Friday
Meals on Wheels - Home Care Prince Albert, Birch Hills, Kinistino.
Adult volunteers are needed to assist with delivering meals to Home Care clients. Shifts: 11:15 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and On Call Monday - Friday
Peer Navigator – Victoria Hospital
Volunteers are needed to assist and support newly-diagnosed cancer patients through the network of health and support systems in place. Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring heart are necessary for this position. Shifts: Flexible, as needed and agreed upon with the patient.
