The Spiritwood Collaborative Emergency Centre (CEC) will resume normal hours on weekends starting January 6-7, 2018.

The Spiritwood CEC is normally open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day, including statutory holidays.

The Spiritwood Primary Health Care Clinic remains open Monday to Saturday, and appointments can be made by calling 306-883-4400.  Individuals who require emergency service should call 9-1-1. If individuals have non-emergency concerns, they are encouraged to make an appointment with their primary care provider, or call the Saskatchewan HealthLine at 8-1-1.

Staffing challenges had meant the Spiritwood CEC was closed on weekends since mid-October 2017. Recruitment efforts have been successful to allow for the CEC to be open on weekends.

“We want to thank the community for their patience and understanding during this period,” said Brett Enns, local Executive Transition Lead for Primary Care. “We know how important it is to have the Collaborative Emergency Centre available to resident of Spiritwood and surrounding area. We will continue to work with the community in an effort to ensure we have stable staffing and reduce the risk of any further disruptions.”
