Due to a staffing shortage of Registered Nurses, the Spiritwood Collaborative Emergency Centre (CEC) will be closed October 14 and 15.

The Spiritwood Primary Health Care Clinic remains open Monday to Saturday, and appointments can be made by calling 306-883-4400. Individuals who require emergency service should call 9-1-1. If individuals have non-emergency concerns, they are encouraged to make an appointment with their primary care provider, or call the Saskatchewan HealthLine at 8-1-1.

“The Prince Albert Parkland Health Region continues efforts to have the CEC fully staffed as quickly as possible,” said Laurianne Tetreault, Director of Primary Care. “We understand that this service disruption is difficult for the community. Our goal is to minimize disruptions and continue full daytime hours of operation at the Collaborative Emergency Centre.”

The Spiritwood CEC is normally open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day, including statutory holidays.

The Prince Albert Parkland Health Region continues efforts to fill Registered Nurse positions. These positions require additional training for emergency centres, which can take several months to complete.
