Due to a staffing shortage of Registered Nurses, the Spiritwood Collaborative Emergency Centre (CEC) will be closed on Sunday, October 8th and Monday, October 9th.

“We regret that this announcement is necessary,” said Laurianne Tetreault, Director of Primary Care. “With our current staffing levels of Registered Nurses, we have to review the hours of operation at the Collaborative Emergency Centre.”

The Spiritwood CEC is normally open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day, including statutory holidays.

The Prince Albert Parkland Health Region continues efforts to fill Registered Nurse positions. These positions require additional training for emergency centres, which can take several months to complete.
