Due to a staffing shortage of Registered Nurses, the Spiritwood Collaborative Emergency Centre (CEC) will be closed each weekend until January.

This includes the following dates (note statutory holiday are also closed);

  • December 9-10;
  • December 16-17;
  • December 23-26; and
  • December 30-January 1.

The Spiritwood Primary Health Care Clinic remains open Monday to Saturday, and appointments can be made by calling 306-883-4400. Individuals who require emergency service should call 9-1-1. If individuals have non-emergency concerns, they are encouraged to make an appointment with their primary care provider, or call the Saskatchewan HealthLine at 8-1-1.

The Spiritwood CEC is normally open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day, including statutory holidays.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority continues efforts to fill Registered Nurse positions. Positions for the emergency centres require additional training, which can take several months to complete.

The Health Authority will continue to provide updates for any future service disruptions when they occur.
