The Volunteer Services Department is in need of caring, compassionate and committed volunteers to fulfill the following service positions:
Patient Information (Greeter) – Victoria Hospital
Duties include directing patients and visitors to the various departments for treatments, tests, x-rays, or to other destinations in the hospital. Shifts: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. or 12–3 p.m. On call. Monday – Friday
Information Desk Navigator (Greeter) – 1521 Building
Duties include directing clients and the public to the various departments for appointments, or to other destinations within the 1521 Building. Shifts: Monday – 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. Tuesday – Friday 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Make a difference in someone’s day by visiting residents on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, chatting, playing cards, reading or strolling with residents. Shifts: Flexible
“On Call” Volunteers
Volunteers are needed for the long-term care residents on an “on-call” basis, to assist with outings, parties, social gatherings, shopping trips, taking residents to appointments, etc. Shifts: Flexible.
